Archive page. In 2004 and 2005 this address was the website of the OpenOffice.org Southern Africa community. The page is kept for reference and describes that period, not current software. Forms, e-mail addresses and phone numbers have been removed. openoffice.org.za is now an independent publication and is not the OpenOffice project.

Training Material

The core aim of this project is to develop a complete OpenOffice.org course framework including:
  • Curriculum Details
  • Instructor Notes
  • Instructor Presentations
  • Student Manuals
  • Student Workbooks
  • Classroom Exercises

Certification

Discussions are underway with several international organisations to establish an internationally recognised multi-tiered certification for OpenOffice.org based on the material under development.

Licensing

The resultant material will be published under the Public Documentation Licence (PDL). This licence allows for anyone to use and modify the material subject to several simple conditions.

As a result, we hope to offer an entire course framework which would allow any individual or organisation to provide comprehensive and cost effective education.
